Greene and Boebert lead the MAGA fury over the spending “Pelosi-Esque” bill

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, two fiery Republicans, disagree on many things, but they both blasted the spending bill by slamming Nancy Pelosi despite the House Republicans majority.

Greene, a MAGA firebrand from Georgia, wrote on X, “Today Congress voted to avert a crisis, the government shutdown, by passing Nancy Pelosi’s budget for the 4th time. I voted NO for the 4th time.”

“Real crisis”

Greene added, “There are MANY real crises. Ask the American people, they don’t consider avoiding a government shutdown averting a crisis.” Boebert also blasted former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her eerly similar X post.

The controversial Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert wrote, “I did NOT come to Congress just to continue Nancy Pelosi’s bloated spending levels. I’m here to rein in the Swamp and cut spending so we can have a future for America that isn’t completely bogged down in debt.”

Another hard no

Boebert added, “I am a NO on today’s upcoming Continuing Resolution – time to actually govern like conservatives!” The bill in question will partially prevent the looming government shutdown, and half of the House GOP joined Democrats.

Speaking to the Independent, Greene said, “I’m voting no to this funding bill, absolutely. I’m not going to vote for the CR,” and added that the war in Ukraine was “pretty much over.”

The House Freedom Caucus shared Greene’s and Boebert’s views

Despite being ousted from the House Freedom Caucus, Greene and its members share the same stance. Congressman Bob Good of Virginia, the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, told the Independent, “It’s a failure for the American people to, once again, pass a significant piece of legislation that keeps in place with predominant Democrat votes, the policies that we ran against, and campaigned against.”

Ken Buck, a Colorado Republican, confirmed during the summer that Greene “is not a member of the Freedom Caucus, and she shouldn’t be in the future.” While the details are foggy, one thing that caught everyone’s attention was the altercation between Greene and Boebert.

Fight on the House floor

Boebert tried unsuccessfully to force a vote on her resolution to impeach President Joe Biden in June. According to Daily Beast’s sources, this triggered a fight between the two MAGA firebrands, with Greene allegedly calling Boebert a “little b..ch.”

The heated exchange

Daily Beast’s sources say that Greene accused Boebert of copying “my articles of impeachment,” adding, “I’ve donated to you, I’ve defended you. But you’ve been nothing but a little b…h to me.”

Biden is the enemy

Boebert told the outlet then, “Marjorie is not my enemy. I came here to protect our children and their posterity. Joe Biden and the Democrats are destroying our country.” She added, “My priorities are to correct their bad policies and save America.”

Greene was not as diplomatic

The Georgia Republican told the outlet, “Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.” Talking to Semafor, Greene elaborated, “I  was sitting down, and so I stood up, and I said, ‘I’m happy to clarify my public statements to your face.’ “I told her exactly what I think about her.'”

Greene and Boebert in the bathroom

Another story was circulating last winter, and it was just as juicy. Allegedly,  Greene and Boebert argued in the bathroom, and sources say Greene asked, “You were OK taking millions of dollars from McCarthy, but you refuse to vote for him for Speaker, Lauren?”

Pelosi as the common antagonist

Boebert issued a statement, saying, “Nancy Pelosi would be proud of this reckless, bloated spending bill that ensures federal spending remains at the levels she set during her reign as Speaker.” During her first years, Greene, alongside Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Ralph Norman of South Carolina, filed a suit against Pelosi over masks,
