NBC Reporter Reveals Nazi Presence to CPAC Chief Matt Schlapp

The top dog at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) unleashed a fiery attack on an NBC News piece highlighting the presence of Nazis at its yearly meet-up. However, Matt Schlapp’s heated refutation of any Nazi attendance at CPAC crumbled when the journalist behind the story presented solid evidence.

Neo-Nazis Welcomed at CPAC?

Ben Goggin’s report pointed out a shift from past practices, where known neo-Nazis and white supremacists, like Nick Fuentes, were shown the door—this year, they encountered zero pushback.

Goggin’s piece, released on Saturday, showcased photos from the gathering featuring individuals openly admitting to being Nazis.

Despite Goggin linking to footage of a self-identified Nazi, Ryan Sanchez, flashing the Nazi salute in the hotel lobby, CPAC vehemently refuted claims of white supremacist attendance at CPAC 2024 in various X posts.

CPAC wrote, “NBC’s claim that there was a Nazi presence at CPAC 2024 is false, misleading, and grossly manipulative — especially coming from a writer who has carried the water for Hamas in much of his reporting on the Israel-Gaza war.”

Firm Stand Against Anti-Semitism

CPAC made it crystal clear on X that its allegiance lies firmly with Israel and the Jewish community, taking a strong stand against anti-Semitism.

“Our board and international partners unanimously passed a resolution this week reiterating that strong, clear, and unequivocal position.  We hosted a special event at CPAC in celebration of and solidarity with Israel, and we are leading an ongoing initiative as an organization supporting Israel,” they stated.

Further emphasizing their policy against anti-Semitism at the event, CPAC declared, “When we come across someone at CPAC peddling any kind of anti-semitism, we deal with them immediately. Knowing this, NBC weaved together lies and fabrications to create a false perception, and we won’t stand by idly while NBC engages in willful misinformation.”

Dismissing Criticism as Cliché

In another update, Schlapp brushed off the criticism with, “Yawn. This is a tired old cliche. The Neo-Nazis in our midst are the ones controlling our college campuses and major institutions and grossly populating the newsrooms of corporate media, calling for an Israeli surrender.”

Condemning Jew Hatred

Schlapp further added, “@CPAC approved a resolution and joined our CPAC international partners in condemning Jew Hatred that is so often featured on NBC outlets. You can find our full statement from our CPAC International Summit here.”

Evidence of Nazis at CPAC

Despite Schlapp’s dismissive stance, Goggin provided evidence that Nazis indeed attended CPAC. He recounted, “The Nazis introduced themselves to me at a mixer and said they were national socialists, started talking about skull measurements and pushing the conspiracy theory that all races were being controlled Jewish people.”

“They were posting about their presence at CPAC online.”

Awaiting Schlapp’s Response

As of Monday afternoon, Schlapp hadn’t yet replied to the evidence Goggin provided. Meanwhile, Goggin didn’t stop there, revealing on Monday that Politico had also reported noticing a white supremacist presence at CPAC.

“Politico documented that another white supremacist was at CPAC along with the Nazis: Bryan Betancur,” Goggin wrote. “As @ryanjreilly write, Betancur is a Jan 6er accused of flashing a white power hand gesture at an FBI agent and yelling racial slurs on public transport.”

Schlapp’s Awareness Questioned

Goggin also expressed skepticism about Schlapp’s awareness, stating, “It’s hard for me to imagine that @mschlapp didn’t know @CPAC had a Nazi problem when he was literally confronted on Friday with someone asking why Nick Fuentes wasn’t allowed at the conference”

Tough Questions

Adding more fuel to the fire, there’s even a video circulating of Schlapp being questioned about Fuentes at CPAC.
