Tennis legend Martina Navratilova blasted Trump’s Truth Social post that attacked Liz Cheney, Nancy Pelosi, Jack Smith, and others from the January 6th Committee.
New Year, Old Trump
Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Why did American Disaster Liz Cheney, who suffers from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), and was defeated for Congress by the largest margin for a sitting Congressman or Congresswoman in the history of our Country, ILLEGALLY DELETE & DESTROY most of the evidence, and related items, from the January 6th Committee of Political Thugs and Misfits.”
He wasn’t done
Trump continued with all caps lock, “HIS ACT OF EXTREME SABOTAGE MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR MY LAWYERS TO PROPERLY PREPARE FOR, AND PRESENT, A PROPER DEFENSE OF THEIR CLIENT, ME.”
Not yet
“All of the information on Crazy Nancy Pelosi turning down 10,000 soldiers that I offered to guard the Capitol Building and beyond, is gone. The ridiculous Deranged Jack Smith case on Immunity, which the most respected legal minds in the Country say I am fully entitled to, is now completely compromised and should be thrown out and terminated, JUST LIKE THE RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS DID TO THE EVIDENCE!,” Trump concluded.
The post went viral on X
One person posted a screenshot of Trump’s rant and wondered, “So is Trump nuts? If Trump thought it necessary to deploy 10,000 troops he knew it was serious trouble and he ought not to watch it on TV for an hour and a half…only to then tell those people he was going to deploy troops against that he loved them.”
Navratilova responded
The 18 Grand Slam singles titles holder and legend of the sports world reacted, “Not nuts. Just a lying piece of trash.” This is not the first time Navratilova has ridiculed Trump or some members of the Trump family.
Tennis legend takes on Don Jr.
In October, Navratilova commented on the post initially shared by Ron Filipkowski. She wrote, “I see Junior can’t spell just like his father- doesn’t know the difference between to and too. He also might give 3/4 of the candy to a billionaire who never went out trick or treating, so there is that.”
Golf score
After someone alleged that Trump’s IQ was 73, Navratilova replied, “Yup. His IQ would make a really good golf score, one he could only dream about.”
Tennis player slammed Trump in 2018
In 2018, Navratilova spoke about the LGBTQ community, “The erosion of human rights around the world. There had been so much progress made, but we are going backward in America. I just saw a sign that somebody posted on Twitter, and it was from a hardware store. No gays allowed. On a hardware store. And that is all coming from the top, you know. That is all coming from Trump and his enablers.”
The 59-time grand slam champion made history
The tennis legend came out in 1981 and faced severe criticism. She is now happily married and often comments on social media current events while fighting to keep transgender people from women’s sports.
Navratilova also blasted Texas court Judges
After the Texas court denied an emergency abortion, the tennis star wondered, “Who are these a..hles on the 5th circuit court who are ok with letting women die for no reason at all??? Let me guess- older white men… just a wild guess.”
Reaction to Colorado’s decision
While the world awaits Trump’s appeal, Navratilova had a four-word reaction after Colorado ruled that Trump is “ineligible” for the ballot. She wrote on X, “Holy c..p!!!!! Now what?”
She also had something to say about Giuliani
During the defamation suit that Giuliani lost, his attorney said he would not testify. Two election workers were awarded $148 million in damages, and the former NYC Mayor declared bankruptcy. Navratilova teased, “How the mighty have fallen…. Everything Trump touches etc etc etc.”
War on women
The tennis legend also kept it short while responding to potential Trump victory in the 2024 elections, writing, “It will be war on all women and all non white people.”
