Trump continued, “Every time I mention his name at a Rally, they BOOO like crazy. He’s all jacked up on something, but he ran for President, without having the courage to announce, and did really poorly. TO have this loser on so much is really bad TV.”

Sununu continued, “We should have had big wins in ’22, you know that,” noting, “We didn’t, because Trump was still the standard-bearer of the party. He was still putting out his candidates.”

“If you think Trump’s a threat to democracy, you participate in democracy; you beat them at the ballot box,” Sununu said, and added, “Don’t wait for court cases and all that other stuff to take them down. It’s never happened before.”

University of New Hampshire political science professor Dante Scala told HuffPost, “Before Sununu, the Democrats had a lock on the governor’s office for a dozen years. Sununu changed all that”.” Scala added, “For the first time since 2016, we will be more likely to see a competitive race for Governor. Democrats will have their best shot in a while.”
