Eric Trump claims, “There’s an all-out war on God” and free speech in the U.S.

During an interview on Newsmax, Trump’s second oldest son, Eric Trump, alleged there’s a “war on God,” while during a Fox News interview, he had a Freudian slip.

The Newsmax interview was during the New Hampshire primaries

While on Newsmax’s American Agenda during the New Hampshire primaries, Eric Trump spoke about First Amendment rights and asserted, “There’s an all-out war on family in this country. There’s an all-out war on God and religious freedom in this country.”

Trump’s second son further noted, “There’s certainly an all-out war on freedom of speech and the First Amendment in this nation, you know, in this nation, you guys have seen that you’ve covered it probably every single day for the last three years.”

Eric Trump continued, “People are sick and tired of nonsense.” He turned to everyday issues for a second: “People want our economy back. They want low gas prices again. They don’t want World War Three to break out all over the world.” Then, Trump went back to God.

The American dream

Eric Trump, who is supporting his father during his third run for the White House, further said that people “want to be able to, you know, worship God and speak freely and not be censored and not be de-platformed, and not have war waged against them and their quality of life every single day. People are sick and tired of the games, and you know, they want to be able to live the American dream, and that’s what my father did.”

While on Real America’s Voice, Eric Trump talked about his father’s presidential race, alleging “they have weaponized the system so viciously, so nasty, that they thought he would actually drop out.”

Americans “question their government”

Trump’s second son continued, “I think he’s made a lot of Americans really question their government, which is necessary, certainly in the world that we live in now, it’s so apparent what they’re doing. It’s also very sad because you would expect that America would be a lot better than that.”

Blaming the Democrats

“Democrats spent 20 years weaponizing every single system of government that we had, they weaponized the military, they weaponized DOJ, they weaponized the FBI, they’ve, they’ve weaponized all of it,” Trump asserted.

“Political elites”

Eric Trump had more to say, “That was always their intent, you know, make it so painful for him that he didn’t want to stay in the race that he wanted to drop out that, you know, he realizes that his life and Mar-a-Lago would be exponentially nicer and more comfortable and everything else and give it back to the political elites in D.C. and, frankly, he did the exact opposite.”

During an interview with Fox News’s Hannity, Trump’s son argued that the media is “absolutely petrified” of his father, whom he called the”greatest guy in the world.” He accused the media of “censoring my father since the minute he went down the escalator” but added, “Anything they put out, he would censor.”

X users had a blast

One person, under the handle @infinitedly, wondered, “Are ‘They’ in the room with you now, Eric?” User Chidi wrote, “Eric is fluent in Herschel Walker,” while several others added a picture of Freud, blasting Eric Trump’s Freudian slip.

Even Trump disagrees

Eric Trump’s statement does not correlate with his father’s words from December. During a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the former president stated the 14th Amendment, and the media made him “more popular now than I would have been if they didn’t do it.”

“We get subpoenaed every day”

Speaking to British host Nigel Farage, Eric Trump shared, “We get subpoenaed every day,” adding, “Donald Trump’s better life is not in politics, and he does it every single day because he loves it. He loves his country, he loves the Western world.”
