After Trump’s New Hampshire win, Hillary Clinton called for Americans to unify to fight “election denialism” and faced backlash

Hillary Clinton called for Americans to unify following Trump’s victory in New Hampshire. Still, her X post did not sit well with everyone, as the former presidential nominee was reminded of some forms of election denialism by the Democrats.

Clinton, the former first lady and Secretary of State, who infamously lost the 2016 elections to Donald Trump, wrote on X, “After the Republican primary in New Hampshire, the choice for November is becoming clearer than ever.” She continued, “Will you choose expanding freedom and strengthening democracy with Biden or more abortion bans and election denialism with Trump?”

The Secretary of State in the Obama administration added, “I say: Four more years of progress.” The post from January 24 was met with some unpleasant reactions, with the right-wing account RNC Research writing, “REMINDER: Democrats are the original Election Deniers.”

They added the video of numerous left-wing politicians arguing that Trump wasn’t a legitimate president, and it included an interview with Jimmy Carter, alongside Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, etc. “Let’s talk about election denialism,” wrote Kurt Schemers and shared the video of Clinton talking about the GOP allegedly already having plans on how to steal the 2024 elections.

RNC Research also shared a video of President Biden introducing the former Virginia Governor, saying, “Hello, Virginia! And the real governor, Terry McAuliffe!” The account added, “Election Denier Joe Biden.” McAuliffe lost in 2021 to Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin.

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares responded on the platform, “So Joe Biden is an election denier?” Senator Tommy Tuberville, a Republican from Alaska, shared, “I thought saying something like this was a threat to democracy.'” He added about Bide, “This man doesn’t have a speck of integrity.”

Biden campaign spokesperson Seth Schuster said in a statement to The Hill, “It is sadly not surprising that the RNC would make a false comparison this ridiculous.”
