Looking at Congress

Harris concluded, “When we look at the folks who are in the United States Congress right now, I think we should be asking them to take up their responsibility, to pass an immigration bill so that we can more effectively put the resources at the border and on this issue in a way that most Americans want.”

Political Games

The Vice President noted, “I wish the United States Congress would stop playing political games with this, and that so-called leaders would stop playing political games with this, and using it as a point of division instead of actually working on the solutions. The solutions are at hand. Pass an immigration law.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson fired back at Harris and told Fox News Digital, “This answer from President Biden’s ‘border czar’ is exactly why the administration can’t be depended on to clear up the catastrophe they, themselves, created.” Johnson added, “Their realization is to attract thousands and thousands extra aliens, motive extra worry, and further renounce America’s national and economic security.”

Johnson Had More to Add

“Vice President Harris has had three years to real the border and hand over the originate float of illegal immigrants into our nation,” Johnson said and added, “When asked about her alternatives, she instantaneous that Congress grant mass amnesty and spend taxpayer greenbacks to the route of – now not hand over – extra illegals. Her ‘resolution’ is to spend billions of additional taxpayer greenbacks and incentivize the lawlessness and chaos.”

Immigration will undoubtedly play one of the most important talking points when President Biden and likely Donald Trump meet again in the fight for re-election. Harris reminded CNN viewers, “Gone are the days sadly where a President Bush or John McCain understood that we should have a bipartisan approach to fixing this problem,” while discussing the lack of bipartisanship in Congress.
