Putin Prefers Biden Over Trump, Trump Reacts

Russian President Vladimir Putin claims he prefers Presiden Biden over former President Trump because he’s “more experienced” and “predictable.”

Putin clarified that he opposes the Biden administration, stating, “I believe that the position of the current administration is badly flawed and wrong, and I have told President Biden about that.” It is unclear when Putin said this to Biden since the two presidents only met during a summit in Geneva in the summer of 2021, and the Russian president confirmed that.

However, the Russian president explained why he chose Biden over Trump, who often praised his leadership skills, “Biden, he’s more experienced, more predictable, he’s a politician of the old formation.” Still, he added, “But we will work with any U.S. leader whom the American people trust.”

Following the news, Trump said during his rally in North Charleston, South Carolina, “He just said that he would much rather have Joe Biden as president than Trump.” He added, “Now that’s a compliment. A lot of people said, ‘Oh, gee, that’s too bad.’ No, no, that’s a good thing. And, of course, he would say that.”

“Putin is not a fan of mine actually”

Trump continued, “I stopped Nord Stream 2, and [Biden] approved it right after I left, so Putin is not a fan of mine actually.” The former president and likely GOP nominee for the 2024 election continued, “He doesn’t want to have me. He wants Biden because he’s going to be given everything he wants, including Ukraine.”

The 45th president added how Putin is “gonna have his dream of getting Ukraine because of Biden … The only president in the last five that hasn’t given Russia anything is a president known as Donald J. Trump.” These comments starkly contrast previous praises, including remarks about NATO.

“I went in yesterday, and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine — Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful,” Trump said in 2022 during  a radio interview with “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show.”

“He liked me”

The ex-president also shared, “I knew Putin very well. I got along with him great. He liked me. I liked him. I mean, you know, he’s a tough cookie, got a lot of the great charm and a lot of pride. But the way he loves his country, you know?”

Later, in 2022, Trump blasted Biden for “almost forcing” Putin to attack Ukraine. Trump declared, “They actually taunted him. If you really look at it, our country and our so-called leadership taunted Putin. I would listen, I would say, you know, they’re almost forcing him to go in with what they’re saying. The rhetoric was so dumb.”

Just days before, Trump said at a Conway, South Carolina, rally that if NATO members who failed to meet the trans-Atlantic alliance’s defense spending targets got attacked by Russia, he would “encourage” Russia to do whatever they want.

Trump told his supporters, “No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay. You gotta pay your bills.'” In contrast, Putin said it is a “U.S. foreign policy tool” and added that “if the U.S. thinks that it no longer needs this tool, it’s up to it to decide.”

Speaking about the interview with Tucker Carlson, Putin was not thrilled, “I expected him to be aggressive and ask the so-called tough questions, and I wasn’t only ready for it but wanted it because it would have given me a chance to respond sharply.”

No aid for Ukraine

Trump raged on Truth Social, “WE SHOULD NEVER GIVE MONEY ANYMORE WITHOUT THE HOPE OF A PAYBACK, OR WITHOUT“STRINGS” ATTACHED. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SHOULD BE “STUPID” NO LONGER!” Senate passed the $95 billion aid for Ukraine and Israel, but the House of Representatives will likely kill this bill.
