In her latest interview with Sky News’ Yalda Hakim, Nancy Pelosi urged Trump to get an “intervention” into his mental health. The House Speaker Emerita also discussed Trump’s “chumminess” with Putin and the upcoming elections.
No use talking to Trump
The California Democrat, who was House Speaker twice, told Hakim that there’s “no use” in talking to the former president “because he is just in a world of his own.” Pelosi had a message for Trump, “Have an intervention into your mental health, your political viability.”
Pelosi on Trump’s relationship with Putin
The House Speaker Emerita called out Trump’s alleged ties to the Russian president, saying, “He is really grotesque, and it is really a shame… He has ventured into the global scene by his chumminess with (Vladimir) Putin.”
The Democrat on Trump’s influence on Congress
In her interview with Sky, Pelosi said that Trump’s giving a “green light” to House Republicans to block the aid to Ukraine and wondered about the Russian president, “Is he sick? Is he crazy?” She added, “The answer I get back is no. He’s just a very evil person.”
Another fight is to give aid to the Palestinians
Pelosi also spoke about the conflict in the Middle East, calling October 7 a “terrible day.” She then expressed sorrow over innocent families losing lives in the conflict as “collateral damage” and added that Congress is working on providing aid to the Palestinians.
Praising Biden
While at the Munich security conference, Pelosi gave numerous interviews, always praising President Biden, and claiming he has “beautiful vision for America. Pelosi added that he “accomplished a great deal,” and regarding his age, she wondered if the press thought Trump was also too old, considering their age difference in less than four years.
Pelosi also spoke to Newsweek
In an interview with Newsweek, Pelosi discussed the similar issues, and complained that when it comes to Trump, “we spend too much time on him.” The Munich conference gathered world leaders, including US representatives from Democratic and Republican party.
Pelosi repeated that Trump’s second term is out of the question
During interviews with Newsweek and Sky News, the House Speaker Emerita repeated that Trump’s second term is something that cannot happen, “He won once so people say he could win again,” she said to Sky News, adding, “I don’t think that is so.”
Not an option
Speaking to Newsweek, Pelosi said that Trump’s return “cannot be considered an option,” and cited all the freedoms that were already under the attack since he was in the office.
Pelosi also blasted Trump on CNN
Talking to Anderson Cooper, Nancy Pelosi stated, “This is a president who refused to send the National Guard for hours, and now he’s doing what he always does,” she said about the January 6, adding, “He projects his own guilt onto other people.”
Story of Trump’s presidency
Pelosi continued, “that’s the story of his presidency always projecting his own failures and then trying to put it onto somebody else.” She also shared, “”It’s really a sad situation for our country because he’s been a national security risk.”
Navalny’s death and NATO
Pelosi told Sky News reporter that the late opposition leader in Russia, Alexei Navalny “gave people hope,” and she was deeply saddened to hear about his death. On X, she wrote, “Now more than ever, the U.S. and our NATO and European partners are unified against Russia’s barbarism and tyranny.”
Pelosi on reproductive rights
The ex-House Speaker Emerita attacked Trump again on X, writing, “The disgraced defeated former president bragged about sabotaging reproductive rights and destroying Roe v Wade — and he and his MAGA minions won’t stop there!”
Not over
The lifelong Democrat from California continued, “Democrats will defend freedoms, Restore Roe and join with the vast majority of Americans who say #NoTrumpAbortionBan.”
Important issue for Pelosi
In a separate post, Pelosi discussed how Democrats flipped George Santos’ seat in New York, and added, “Reproductive care is health care. Americans continue to reject Republicans’ plans for abortion bans and plots to criminalize women’s health care.”
