Lauren Boebert slammed by Colorado Republican over “desperate attempts to salvage her sinking career”

Lauren Boebert’s decision to switch congressional districts triggered another fellow Republican from Colorado, State Senator Don Coram. In Sterling Journal-Advocate, it was reported that Coram mocked Boebert’s “desperate attempts to salvage her sinking career.”

The upside

State Senator Coram stated, “The good news is that the folks in the 4th CD have a wide range of candidates to choose from in the primary who already reside in the 4th CD. You don’t need to import someone who will only embarrass you.”

The Senator doubled down

Coram, a fellow Colorado Republican, further noted that the 4th district “won’t be fooled by her desperate attempts to salvage her sinking career.” He added that switching districts “displays prominently that Lauren’s only interest and priority is protecting her celebrity status and keeping the only good-paying job she has had in her life.”

Coram, a moderate Republican, mocked Boeber’s “rebranding effort” and called her “all hat and no cattle.” The Montrose representative’s lengthy mail to Journal-Advocate where he accused Colorado’s firebrand of being a “carpetbagger” and continued, “Boebert’s record shows that she believes, “rules are for thee, but not for me.’”

Trent Leisy, a Republican running for the 4th congressional district, accused Bobert of doing what she “attacked [former Democratic House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi” of doing and told Newsweek, “Lauren’s political move is to secure a career seat in [Washington] D.C. as she knows CD [Colorado District] 4 is a very conservative district.”

State Representative also is not Boebert’s fan

State Representative Richard Holtorf, also running for the same district, reacted to Boebert’s switching news by issuing a statement: “If you can’t win in your home, you can’t win here. She knew she’d lose in her own district, and I’ll show her that she’ll lose here, too.”

Boebert defended the decision

Speaking to The Durango Herald, Boebert expressed that “The fresh start is really in regards to my personal life. There’s definitely been some changes.” She divorced her husband of nearly two decades last May, and since then, there have been some reported incidents involving the father of her four children.

Many believe changing districts was because of Frisch

Adam Frisch, a Democrat running for 3rd congressional district, more than quintupled Lauren Boebert’s fundraising last quarter. Since Boebert defeated Frisch by less than 600 votes, it is easy to understand why most people believe her moves were not as simple as a “fresh start.”

Not a popular move

Representative Lisa McClain, a Republican from Michigan, said during the Washington Press Club Foundation’s annual congressional dinner, “Please keep your hands above the table, and I know it’s date night for some of you, but no inappropriate touching. That includes you, Lauren Boebert. No vaping either.” Boebert was caught in September vaping and smooching her date during a kid-friendly musical.

Schumer poked fun at George Santos

State Senate Majority Leader said, “Last year, George Santos said he was Jew-ish. Now he has a new ethnicity: He’s fin-ished.” Santos was expelled, so clearly, Boebert was not in the best company.

It was a posh event

The annual dinner held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel included Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senator Raphael Warnock, a Democrat, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Democratic Senator Ed Markey, and House Republicans Ben Cline, Kelly Armstrong, and Nancy Mace.

Greene warned Boebert

“I think she’s got to earn those people’s support. I saw she came in fifth place in the straw poll over the weekend, which she should be very concerned about.” Greene told The Hill.

The polling came after the first debate

Mike Lynch, who is running for the same district as Boebert, asked her during the first debate, “Could you give the definition of ‘carpetbagger?'” But, she soon fired back, “The crops may be different in Colorado’s 4th District, but the values are not, and I’m a proven fighter for the values that you all believe in.”
