House Oversight and Accountability Committee Republicans got schooled on several occasions during the investigation into Hunter Biden. As Democrat from Florida Jared Moskowitz explained, his party is giving the GOP a “taste of their own medicine.”
Moskowitz’s Show

In January, during a hearing as part of the push to hold Hunter Biden in contempt, Moskowitz welcomed House Committee Republicans with a photo of Donald Trump smiling next to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. This unusual move came after Marjorie Taylor Greene, GOP firebrand, held intimate and quite telling photos of Hunter Biden.
Moskowitz Slammed Trump

Apart from holding the photo, the Democratic lawmaker argued about accusations that Democrats do not care about trafficking. He said, “Donald Trump was asked about Jeffrey Epstein. And when he was asked, he said Jeffrey likes them young, but how did the president know that? How did he know that Jeffrey Epstein liked them young? Perhaps, some people are saying, he was there.”
Fighting Fire with Fire

Moskowitz continued, “You come up here and talk about Hunter Biden’s behavior, and you’re so disgusted, but the guy that you all kneel to associates himself with a pedophile.” Trump told New York magazine in 2002 that he had known Epstein for years, adding he was a “terrific guy” and “a lot of fun to be with.” Trump continued, “It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
Cirque Du Soleil Oversight

The Daily Beast’s reporter, Riley Rogerson, talked to Moskowitz, and he told her that Republicans have “decided to turn it into Cirque Du Soleil Oversight where literally, it’s just a total show.” But the Florida Democrat has a message, “If that is the game that they are going to play, then game on.”
Jasmine Crockett Makes Waves

Texas representative and new Democratic hope, Jasmine Crockett, also had several teachable moments for the House Republicans. Crockett told House Republicans there is a reason why Biden is ignoring a subpoena to testify at a deposition, “Let me tell you why nobody wants to talk to y’all behind closed doors — because y’all lie.” But that was just the beginning.
Spinning Around

Crockett continued, “I don’t know how y’all are still standing right now because you should be quite dizzy from all the spinning that you’re constantly doing when it comes to spinning the truth.” This came in response to Nancy Mace, a South Carolina Republican, who said that Bidens are enjoying “white privilege.”
“A spit in the face”

Since Mace is also white, Crockett had something to explain to her, “I can’t get over the gentle lady from South Carolina talking about white privilege,” Crockett said, and added, “It was a spit in the face, at least of mine as a Black woman, for you to talk about what white privilege looks like.”
“Young and “spunky” Democrats

The Daily Beast’s Riley Rogerson labeled the new wave of outspoken Democrats as “young, spunky” but mentioned they were “mentored” by Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, who led Trump’s second impeachment.
Raskin on the Democrats on the Committee

Representative Raskin told the outlet, “I was basically looking for extremely hardworking, detail-oriented members who know how to throw a punch in the media,” adding, “Because I knew exactly what we would be up against.” That’s how Moskowitz, Crockett, and Garcia, and representatives Dan Goldman from New York, Maxwell Frost from Florida, Greg Casar from Texas, and Summer Lee, a Pennsylvania Democrat, became prominent figures in the political world.
Raskin on Moskowitz

The Maryland Democrat said, “There’s just great teamwork and a lot of friendship and camaraderie among the members.” He added, “You’re talking about the chairman of the committee and the most junior Democrat in the minority, who end up squaring off on an almost daily basis.” While James Comer called Moskowitz a Smurf, Raskin described him as “absolutely undeterred.”
Who is on the Other Side?

Comer chairs the Committee. In addition to Greene and Mace, Republicans include Lauren Boebert, a Colorado lawmaker, Andy Biggs from Arizona, Jim Jordan from Ohio, Scott Perry from Pennsylvania, and Florida’s Byron Donalds. Despite being well-known and outspoken, Moskowitz wondered, “I often think to myself, are we this good or are they that bad?”
Robert Garcia Speaks Candidly

Garcia told the Daily Beast, “We’re calling out their bul..hit like every single time, and I think they’re surprised by it. I think they’re not used to it. And I think that we are causing them great embarrassment.” Crockett commented on who is on the House Committee, “The only wild one that isn’t on the committee is Matt Gaetz.” Read the whole report on The Daily Beast.
