Amid the ongoing fallout from allegations found in newly released court documents that connect a number of powerful figures, including Trump, to the sex offender, Trump made these comments in a post on Truth Social.
Fake Trump Island Photo
Trump’s post featured a Daily Mail article discussing actor and Democratic activist Mark Ruffalo’s apology for sharing a fake photo, which claimed to show Trump en route to Epstein’s infamous private island.
Trump with Group of Young Girls?
“Gross. #MAGA wants to paint everyone on those flights as pedophiles except the one guy who smiles in a group of young girls all headed to Epstein’s ‘Fantasy Island’ with him,” Ruffalo wrote in a Friday post on X.
“My bet is there are some decent republicans left in America that may think this is going too far.”
Fact-Checking Results
Ruffalo later offered an apology once the post garnered more context from X users, who contended that it was AI-generated. These users employed the social media app’s fact-checking functionality to confirm that the images were indeed created by artificial intelligence.
Ruffalo Apologizes
On January 6th, Ruffalo posted, “Sorry Folks. Apparently these images are AI fakes. The fact that Trump was on Epstein’s plane and what Epstein was up to is not. Be careful.”
Critical Remark to Elon Musk
His apology post also featured a critical remark directed at owner Elon Musk, saying, “Elon’s X and his allowing so much disinformation here is driving the value of his app down by 55%.”
Trump Calls Out AI
“This is what the Democrats do to their Republican Opponent, who is leading them, by a lot, in the Polls. This is A.I., and it is very dangerous for our Country!” Trump wrote in his Truth Social post.
“Stupid” Island
“I was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island. Strong Laws ought to be developed against A.I. It will be a big and very dangerous problem in the future!”
Trump Listed as Epstein’s Associate
In a batch of newly released court documents, Trump’s name was revealed as one of Epstein’s associates, part of a settlement agreement between alleged victim Virginia Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Alleged Victim’s Testimony
A testifying alleged victim remembered being on Epstein’s plane when he suggested a pit stop at Trump’s Atlantic City casino, although they never landed there.
Only Acquaintances
Despite photographs of Trump with Epstein and Maxwell over the years, Trump has referred to them as acquaintances within their Palm Beach social circle, noting a falling out years ago.
