On Friday evening, while airing Donald Trump’s speech from a ‘Get Out the Vote’ rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto interrupted the broadcast. He pointed out some inaccuracies in the former president and 2024 Republican frontrunner’s statements.

Cavuto expressed his concerns about Trump taking credit for the rising market and simultaneously blaming Biden for high gas prices and other issues, saying:

“We’ll continue monitoring the president’s remarks and I mean no offense to him or some of you who might want to continue to hear him, but I did have to say that even though the former president is entitled to his opinions, he’s not entitled to his own set of facts.”

Cavuto also addressed Trump’s remarks about the rising market, clarifying that its improvement isn’t connected to Trump’s actions. He further debunked Trump’s assertion that gas prices were at $6 a gallon, citing the actual average price of $3.26.

On the topic of the 2020 election, Cavuto reminded the audience that extensive investigations, including those by judges appointed by Trump, have found no evidence to support the claim of election theft.

Earlier this year, Former President Donald Trump acknowledged the stock market’s growth under President Joe Biden in a Truth Social post.

However, Trump still claimed credit, stating, ‘THIS IS THE TRUMP STOCK MARKET,’ attributing the rise to investors’ anticipation of his victory against Biden in the upcoming election.

Trump offered no proof for his assertion that the current market surge is linked to expectations of his potential win, a claim made nearly 10 months before the election.

At a recent rally in Coralville, Iowa, former President Donald Trump, a leading contender for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, sought to highlight the contrast between gas prices during his term and under President Joe Biden.

Trump claimed gas prices reached $5, $6, $7, and even $8 a gallon under Biden, contrasting this with prices as low as $1.87 during his presidency.

‘Mostly False’ Claims

PolitiFact rated this claim as ‘Mostly false’, noting that Trump’s figures are selective.

According to GasBuddy.com, around 99.2% of gas stations in the U.S. are selling fuel for under $5 per gallon, and none are at $8 a gallon. While some stations do charge more than $5, this is not representative of the majority.

Election Fraud Claims

Donald Trump’s persistent claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen have been widely refuted. Judges, state election officials, and even Trump’s own administration’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have dismissed these allegations.

Chris Krebs, CISA director, was fired by Trump on November 17 for contradicting these fraud allegations.

Republican Voters on Election Fraud

Polls indicate that a significant portion of Americans, including a majority of Republican voters, believe Joe Biden wasn’t the legitimate winner of the 2020 election.

Distrust in Elections

This belief has led to a broader distrust in the American election system and, for some, a justification for the actions on January 6, 2021.

These claims of election fraud have not been subjected to detailed or rigorous ongoing scrutiny, often dismissed by critics as lacking credibility, being uniformly rejected by courts, and refuted in audits and reviews by authorities.
